Seeking Spiritual Help

Posted on March 4, 2020 at 11:50 PM Comments comments (2)

There are times when we struggle with certain aspects of our lives, be it spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, or social. Sometimes we need a listening ear to vent, or we might need advice about what we are going through.

If a non-Satanist is struggling spiritually, they can go to the leader of their place of worship such as their priest, rabbi, or guru. For the Satanist, it is not that easy. We can’t just walk up the street to our local Satanic temple because they don’t exist. It is difficult to find another Satanist in one’s location, never mind a Satanic clergy member. And what makes a person clergy? A topic for another post, indeed.

So, Satanists turn to the internet for help. One can join tons of social media groups where many people offer their advice. But who should you trust? Anyone can say that they have the required knowledge to help you. Many give themselves titles like priest, high priest, or magus. It is obvious to most that they’re not, but for some, it is harder to see through the charade.

What to do if you are a Satanist looking to talk to someone for spiritual advice:

- Ask a Theistic Satanist.

-You want to go to someone who has at least a few years of experience in Satanism. This person views Satanism as a serious religion and way of life. They are devoted to Satan and know his teachings, and they have great respect for the Demons.

-If you need to talk about your mental health and/or medication, you need someone who will be understanding and who has some knowledge in these areas.

- You want someone who will encourage you on your path.

- Before deciding on someone, check them out to see if they have a good reputation. If you know anyone who has gone to them for help, ask their opinion. You want someone who will keep your confidence and tell you the truth.

-If the person has a website, book, or blog, read them to see if their beliefs line up with yours.

-You want someone honest about their struggles on the path and who will share what worked for them during the hard times.

What not to do when seeking advice:

-Don’t go to someone who gossips about others. If they gossip about one person, more than likely they will gossip about you as well. The last thing you need is for your business to be aired out on social media for all to see.

- Beware of those who say they are demonologists or exorcists. The titles may sound fancy but more than likely they do not have a favourable view of Satan or the Demons. Their knowledge does not come from Satanic texts.

- You want to stay clear of ‘white lighters’ and new agers. They will tell you that your beliefs are evil and will promote seeking assistance from angels, which is something that a Satanist should not do.

- Another group of people you want to avoid like the plague, and who might try to get into your business are Christians, especially those involved in the ‘deliverance’ ministry. They believe that they can cast out Demons through prayer and fasting. Their only goal is to convert others to Christianity.

- Be careful of those who are just looking to make some cash. You might want to think twice about sharing the personal details of your life with someone who charges money for a Facebook chat.

If you are struggling spiritually, you may feel that some help is better than no help at all. It might be tempting to turn to people who are not Theistic Satanists if they are the only ones in your sphere offering to help. My advice is to wait until you can find a Theistic Satanist that you can trust. You don’t need discouragement or confusion.

I am here to talk if you need advice or a listening ear. Message me, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Satanic Blessings,

YouTube Videos on Satanism

Posted on April 2, 2019 at 12:55 AM Comments comments (1)

I am writing this post to encourage devotees of Satan to make YouTube videos. As I was looking through YouTube last night for videos on Theistic Satanism, I couldn’t find very much. I know many of you might be nervous to get on camera and talk, but there needs to be more videos out there, especially for new people interested in Satanism. Right now, most of the videos on Satanism are by Christians that are trying to deter people from the path and the rest are by atheistic Satanists. Neither of which will help those wanting to learn about Satan.

Where are the videos that show passion and devotion to the Prince of Darkness? Where are the videos that talk about prayer, rituals, and other Satanic spiritual practices?

I am also very disappointed in most of the videos about Demons and Demonolatry. There are a few that are informative but hardly any show real devotion and reverence for the Demons. The majority only talk about how to do rituals to obtain things from them. There needs to be videos where people speak up out of devotion to show reverence and teach about these amazing entities.

The issue that saddens me the most, is that there are more and more people being influenced by those who say it is fine to work with both Demons and Angels. People who say they are Demonolaters and even Satanists are making videos encouraging this practice. Yes, everyone has the right to believe as they wish but it doesn’t make those beliefs right or honourable. I will touch on this subject in another post.

So I encourage you, if you are devoted to Satan and his Demons and you care about the future of Satanism and Demonolatry, consider making some videos sharing your knowledge and devotion. Even if twenty Theistic Satanists were to do one video, that would be twenty videos in total to encourage others on their path.

May Satan guide you.

Satanic Blessings,

When Followers of the Abrahamic Religions Want Help from Satan and the Demons

Posted on March 19, 2019 at 3:45 AM Comments comments (1)

If you spend any time online, you must be noticing the number of people who are of the Abrahamic religions: Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, joining Satanic groups and asking for help. Many seem to be influenced by what they have seen in movies and music about how they can “sell their soul” to Satan in order to receive money, power, or sex. They seem to think that Satanists belong to a group called ‘The Illuminati,’ which is not correct.

I know quite a few Satanists, as well as myself, who have gotten private messages from these people wanting help. After writing a long paragraph or two about how bad their situation is, they ask for money. I suggest not doing this. I understand that it must be hard living in Kenya or Nigeria, which is where a lot of these people are from, but we don’t know who they are or what our money would be used for. Some say they would use it to go to school, but I doubt that is the case.

I do my best to explain to them that Satanism is not about getting rich and famous and that it is wrong to go to Satan and the Demons when their only motive is to ask for material wealth. Yes, they can help if they want, but why would they help a servant of Jehovah? That brings us to another question, why don’t these people ask their own god for help? He is supposed to be omniscient, omnipresent, and all-powerful, right?

I was recently contacted by a girl who wanted me to help her make a pact with a Demon as she says that she desperately needs assistance. After some questions, I learned that she was Muslim. I asked her why she didn’t ask Allah for help and why instead she would go to an enemy of her god? Her response was that it was the only way.

People know deep down that their god is impotent or that he just won’t help them. All it takes is a brief look through the Abrahamic holy books and it is evident that he picks and chooses who he assists. He had so much fun with Job, his loyal devotee, as he watched him suffer so he could prove a point to Satan. In the following verse from the Old Testament of the Bible, it shows how evil this entity can be. He answers a curse that was sent against children by one of his prophets just because they made fun of him.

“From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. "Get out of here, baldy!" they said. "Get out of here, baldy!" He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.” 2 Kings 2: 23-24

Children are starving all over the world and many people are suffering from disease, yet this ruthless god remains silent to their cries.

Knowing this, people turn to Satan and the Demons for help even though it goes against everything their religion teaches. Since they are not a devotee of Satan, they need to research and connect to the Demon in their own way. Let them state their case, but they need to ponder their spirituality. If they need to ask another deity other than their own for help, then it might be a sign that they are on the wrong path.

I will not take part in asking Satan or a Demon to help a non-Satanist if they have no intention on becoming a devotee. Instead, I ask the person some questions and depending on their answer, I might recommend they read certain books or that they pray to Satan and get real with him. But the first thing I do is I ask Satan to guide me, for that is most important when anyone asks us for spiritual help. He knows their true motives, and only when he gives the go-ahead, should we act.

May the Will of Satan be done in all that we do.

Satanic Blessings,

Marie RavenSoul

Thank You, Satan!

Posted on March 7, 2019 at 10:40 AM Comments comments (0)

I want to thank Satan for everything that he has done for me. He is amazing. He has taught me so many things throughout my life that I couldn’t have learned in a book or in school. His wisdom is beyond that of any other and he knows what we need to experience in order to be prepared for the next phase of our life.

Has he tested me? Damn, right he has. Were the tests pleasant? No. Were they scary? Some of them were. He began testing me when I was quite young and I certainly wasn’t ready, or so I thought. Just because I was a child didn’t mean he was going to be easy on me. If Satan has plans for you, he will begin preparing you early. Take it as an honour, not as something to avoid. Have I passed them all? No. But he knows my heart and soul and that I was genuine when I answered his call. He knew that I would fail at times before he chose me, just the same as he knows that you will make mistakes. We all do.

Satan has a way of letting you know that he is with you and he will nudge you when he wants you to pay attention to what he has to say. Don’t miss the chance to learn from him. People will pick up a magazine or turn on the television hoping to learn something but will say they are too busy to meditate or pray to the one who can teach the most ancient of knowledge and wisdom. It is so important to get away from screens- television, computer, and cell phones and go to a place where you can be alone and spend time with yourself. This is one of the things that Satan has taught me over the years- to know myself above all.

My life has not been easy. I have gone through a lot. I don’t speak much about my personal life online but the people who are close to me know of my struggles. Satan has been there for me through all of it, and although he allowed me to go through some tough times, it is because he wanted to strengthen me and to teach me invaluable lessons that I would never have learned any other way. I trust him above anyone.

When I wake up each day, I am grateful that Satan chose me. It is the biggest honour I could ever have. I will continue to dedicate my life to him as I promised many years ago.

Thank you, Lord Satan.

Who Am I?

Posted on March 23, 2018 at 4:00 AM Comments comments (0)

We have heard it said that “beauty is only skin deep,” but let's go deeper.

I am reading a book called Irrational Man- A Study in Existential Philosophy by William Barrett. In it he states:

“The roots of a thing always go deeper into the soil than our vision of the plant above the surface would lead us to imagine...”

The sentence goes on, but this first part made me ponder. When we look at something all we see is the surface, but even from that, we can learn a lot of things about it. For example, the first things that stand out about a tree is its height, shape of its leaves, and the kind of bark it has. This can tell us what kind of tree it is.

The same applies to people. What we notice first when we meet someone is their skin colour, gender, height, weight, hair and eye colour, and the shape of their nose. People can't hide these things as they are part of their DNA and its what they were born with, but they don’t make a person who they are.

Now what we choose for people to see is what we 'put on' ourselves. This would be our clothes, shoes, make-up, glasses, and jewellery. If we must dress a certain way for school or work, then our uniform or work clothes is mandatory and not a reflection of who we are but what we do.

What truly matters is who we are inside- our soul, our spirit. What we do is more important than our eye colour. What we believe about ourselves, the world and the people around us define us more than how tall we are. Our Will and how we live it out, what we create, and what we destroy will tell more about us than the shoes we wore today. Yet how much time do we focus on these things compared to the time we spend on our appearance? Investing in our mind, our spirit, our character lasts a lifetime whereas everything else is temporary.

Now, what about as a Satanist. Who or what defines that term for you? A book? A Facebook group? People on your social media list? Or have you defined it based on your beliefs about Satan? Always remember that when you go to the altar to pray or do a ritual, you are approaching Satan, no one else. He alone can say if you are truly a Satanist, as he knows your soul and your true intentions.

Too often we worry about what other people think, but at the end of the day, it is ourselves who look back at us in the mirror, no one else. We must stand before our own judgment seat and ask ourselves, how did I do today? It is nobody else’s business but our own. We are either happy with ourselves or we’re not. Are we a better person, a better Satanist, today than we were yesterday? If not, that is something to work on.

So, ask yourself, who am I? What am I about? Do I define myself or do I let others tell me who I am? What am I doing to be the person I want to be?

It’s up to you.

Satanic Blessings,

Spiritual Struggles

Posted on December 19, 2017 at 12:50 AM Comments comments (0)

If you were to ask anyone, most people would say that they have struggled spiritually at least once in their life. It might have been a crisis of faith, a nagging doubt, confrontations with family, or having to leave their path and convert to the religion of their spouse. Whatever it was, it would have caused a lot of confusion, stress, and sadness.

As well as the above, Satanists have a lot coming at them- stereotypes by the media, discrimination in the workplace, Christian programming, accusations from people who have no idea what Satanism is about, not being able to practice at home because of parents, and finding a suitable mate among other things. It is not easy.

If you are going through a difficult period, spend more time than usual in prayer, devotion, and ritual. These will help to strengthen your connection to Satan. Read a sacred text that has always inspired you. Some Satanists turn to Al-Jilwah or The Book of the Law. Books by other Theistic Satanists can help a great deal as well.

You might also want to listen to some Satanic music. This will be different according to each Satanist. I like a variety of different music depending on my mood, but if I need to be inspired spiritually, I usually listen to bands such as Mercyful Fate, Satanic Warmaster, Satyricon, Watain, and Dissection. I also like meditative/ritualistic music such as Emme Ya, Nox Arcana, Dark Imperivm, and Coph Nia.

Talking to other Theistic Satanists can help if they are serious about their path and won’t judge you. Know that many struggle, but are not vocal about it.

No matter what might be going on in your life, always keep in mind why you became a Satanist. Contemplate on who Satan is and why you have chosen him as your god. Remember who you are and what you can become. Don’t let anything sway you off the path that you were meant for. Satan is with his chosen ones and he knows your intent.

If you are struggling, don’t hesitate to send me a message. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Beelzebub- A Manifestation

Posted on September 8, 2017 at 11:40 PM Comments comments (1)

A few years ago, I experienced what I believe to have been a manifestation of Beelzebub. I hadn’t called him or was even thinking about him, nor had I ever worked with him, but he obviously wanted to make his presence known to me.

It happened one night as I casually walked into a room in my home. There was this huge fly just sitting on the floor. It was the biggest fly I had ever seen and I could tell that it wasn’t ‘just’ a fly. The energy in the house had changed and I could feel a powerful presence in the air. I couldn’t take my eyes off it and the name Beelzebub came to my mind.

Since this had occurred in winter, it couldn’t have just come in from outside as flies usually do in the summer. I had the strongest feeling to leave it alone, which I did, and after I left the room I never saw it again.

Now just a couple of days ago, Beelzebub once again has got my attention. Out of nowhere, I heard “Beelzebub” in my mind. He whispered just his name to let me know that he is close, and I got the sense that he has a message for me.

He is known as the ‘Lord of the Flies’ and the ‘Prince of Demons.’ He is said to have authority over disease.

Beelzebub… I honour you here and wait for your message.

Whatever the Cost

Posted on August 22, 2017 at 10:35 PM Comments comments (2)

Satan is honoured here.

For those of you who visit this site, it is my hope that you feel his energy within these words, and that your spirit is renewed with a passion for his ways and teachings.

May Satan’s manifestations increase in your life and teach you about who he is in all his aspects. He will give you an inner knowing that what you are seeing is from him, and this will erase all doubts that you might have.

If he comes to you clothed in fear, know that it is for a reason. He may be preparing you for something or he could be testing your loyalty. He wants true devotees. He wants to know if you will follow him no matter what the cost or situation. He has no need for people who will just use his name for their own superficial purposes.

Embrace whatever Satan sends you. It may lead you to the Abyss or to the greatest of heights. He may cause you to question everything you believe, and as a result, your foundation will be strengthened. Prepare for your spirit to be ripped in two, only to be brought back together much stronger. Walk through your anxieties and be open to what they teach you. It will be uncomfortable but keep on, as there will be a reward at the end.

We all go through times of weakness. Satan knows this, but he chose us anyway. No one is perfect, yet he has a purpose for all those he has called to walk his infernal path. If you have answered his call, he expects you to make it to the finish line. No matter how difficult it might become, you know that you must do it. If you doubt, move forward anyway. There is no time for hesitation.

The time is now…

Satanic Blessings,

Don't Be Discouraged

Posted on June 18, 2017 at 12:00 AM Comments comments (7)

I want to encourage all those who are reading this. It is not easy to walk the Satanic path. Many people will do what they can to get in your way and circumstances will come along that will make you stumble.

For the past few months, I have seen so much nonsense on social media. I used to participate a lot online, in groups and such, but I have stepped away as it is quite disheartening to see what goes on. Perhaps I might increase my participation in time, but for now, I must focus on my individual projects.

What truly disgusts me, is how those who call themselves atheistic Satanists try to belittle the theistic Satanists for their belief in Satan. They put us down for praying, worship, and our devotion to Satan. They tell us what not to believe as if they know the ultimate truth. They say that Satanism is just a philosophy and was started by Anton LaVey. No, it wasn’t. The word Satanism existed way before LaVey was even born, and it has always meant the worship of Satan. The truth is out there…

The internet is a great thing, yet for new Satanists, it can be overwhelming at times. There are so many social media groups and they all have different ideas and beliefs. Many people will tell you what is right and what is wrong and it can be confusing. Everyone has their own way of practicing and some might try to force their ways on you, and as soon as you express your opinion, they will pounce. This is one of the reasons why it is so important to do your own research and to study hard. Don’t let anyone tell you what to believe, no matter how intelligent they may seem.

Be strong, and don’t lose sight of your path or most importantly, your relationship with Satan. Always go to him first with your questions and be patient for his answer.

Devotee, Satan is with you.

Satanic Blessings,

Marie RavenSoul

Called to The Altar

Posted on February 26, 2017 at 2:15 PM Comments comments (2)

More than ever, I have had the strongest feeling that I need to spend more time at Satan’s altar. The pull has been persistent and strong, and I know that it is Satan calling me.

I have responded.

In addition to the regular prayers that I say as I wake and then again before I sleep, I now feel called to go before the altar throughout the day as well. I light a black candle, burn some incense, and ring the bell. I will then say an invocation, and what I do next depends on the situation. I always pray, but I also might meditate, give an offering or perform some form of divination.

Before I approach, I always take off my footwear and bow before the altar. This is to show Satan respect and reverence. I will often cover my head with a black scarf to show respect, but also to get me in the right mindset. As I put it on, I can feel myself leaving the mundane and entering the spiritual and my focus immediately goes to Satan.

This daily practice has become a very important part of my life and it has strengthened my relationship with Satan. It has caused me to look at my life in greater detail and to change my priorities.

For those of you who do not have a physical altar for whatever reason, or if you are away from your altar, you can create one in your astral temple. If Satan is calling you to do this, he is aware of your situation and will know if your intention is in the right place.

Over the years that I have been on this path, Satan has often called me to go outside and spend time with him by the water or in a nearby forest. I have felt his presence very strong in these places, and I love sitting with my eyes closed while listening to the waves or trees as I feel his energy all around me.

As I write this, even now, I feel it is time to leave the computer and go to spend time with him.

Is Satan calling you?

Satanic Blessings,

Who is Pazuzu?

Posted on January 8, 2017 at 2:05 AM Comments comments (0)

In continuation from my previous post, ‘The Exorcist’ Television Series, it is obvious that when making movies there is a double standard when it comes to the subject matter. If a movie is about a biblical character, a prophet, or a god, the producers do their best to keep to the facts of the holy text where they originated from. If they don’t, adherents of the religion speak out against the movie like the Catholics did when The Last Temptation of Christ was released in 1988.

But when it comes to Satan and the Demons, anything goes.

As I watched the final episode of ‘The Exorcist’ television series, I was disgusted at how they portrayed Pazuzu. I knew it was to be expected, but making him grovel on the floor and having him beaten up by a human is degrading. Something that would never happen.

I wrote an article on Pazuzu for another publication a little while ago. The following is some of the information I found during my research:

- The earliest text that mentions Pazuzu is dated around 670 B.C., and the first image of him can be dated to the end of the 8th century B.C. It came from the royal tombs in Kalhu, and many were found in Assyria, Babylonia, and in the west part of Iran.

- He is described in ancient texts as the son of Hanbu.

- Taking into account the artifacts that have been found, it seems that Pazuzu was regarded as a god, not just as a demon. In a museum in Israel, there is an image of Pazuzu that has horns that go around the top of his head. This is similar to the crowns that adorn the heads of Ishtar and Shamash, well known revered gods. More evidence of this comes from a carnelian seal which has an impression of Pazuzu. Whoever made it gave him a headdress in the form of a crescent and put a ball-staff at his feet. These were only given to revered gods.

- Since Pazuzu has attributes of many different animals, it would be more than likely that he would also have the traits of these animals. This would make him a powerful force to be reckoned with, and might also protect him from entities with the same animal lineages. In addition, Pazuzu might be able to heal wounds caused by animals he is composed of; for example, being able to release the venom from a sting by a scorpion.

- According to ancient sources, Pazuzu was a chief protector of pregnant women and babies. During her pregnancy, a woman would wear a Pazuzu amulet around her neck for protection against evil.

- He was also called upon to heal the sick.

- Pazuzu was a protector of households against evil forces. People would make a shrine to Pazuzu in the front entrance of their homes, where they would display a statue of him.

- Weapons were also crafted with the head of Pazuzu on them to protect the fighter in battle and secure a positive outcome.

- In contrast to the book The Exorcist, ritual texts show that Pazuzu is called upon to remove negative influences and harmful entities. He is not the one being exorcised—he is the exorcist.

“I, the one that drives out Evil and exits Fate, the house that I enter, Headache and Disorder may not approach and harass it.”

'The Exorcist' Television Series

Posted on December 18, 2016 at 7:10 AM Comments comments (1)

When I first heard that there was going to be a television series based on The Exorcist, I was skeptical. I knew that the Demons would be portrayed in a typical way, as it is Hollywood after all. But I had a bit of hope.

In some parts, especially in the first couple of episodes, the Demons were shown to have some measure of power but as the weeks went on, it was getting obvious what the final outcome would be. The Demons were evil, deranged, sadistic, and perverse, and of course, they listened to the Catholic priests. The creators of the show obviously didn’t do any research or they would have learned the true nature of Demons.

Demons have been used by the horror industry as a source of entertainment for years and it is not going to change. They are used to scare and to give validity to Christianity and its prophecies. This can be seen in movies such as Damien Omen III and Bless The Child. Satan and the Demons always lose the battle.

If it was any other god, adherents of the religion would be up in arms, but it has always been acceptable to make Satan and the Demons a source of humour or horror. No one says anything about it. Most Satanists love horror movies that have a ‘Satanic’ theme, but where is our outrage and disgust when our god is defeated over and over again?

We know that Satan and the Demons, ancient beings, don’t fear humans, and if someone were to shove a crucifix in their face, they would laugh. The Catholic Church may control their people, but it is hilarious to think they have power over these ancient ones. Yet that is what it wants everyone to believe, but it is just an institution made by men who worship a god desperate for power.

It is my hope that one day there will be Satanists who will have the passion and desire to make movies. Ones that portray Satan and the Demons in their true form.

In The Exorcist, Pazuzu was the Demon that was given the bad rap… the 'Lord of Fevers and Plagues.'

Pazuzu…

To be Forever Changed

Posted on December 16, 2016 at 12:40 AM Comments comments (4)

Before you begin to walk the dark path, be aware that you will be forever changed. Once you have opened yourself to Satan and His energies, you will never be the same. It doesn’t matter whether you are an older adult or a young child; once you take that first step, there is no going back. You might try, but once His essence touches you, it has transformed you in some way.

The path of Satan is not one that you want to start walking without knowing what you are getting into. It might seem ‘cool’ and ‘interesting’ at first and you might be tempted to dabble for awhile, but make no mistake, Satan doesn’t like ‘dabblers.’ Satanism is not a game or something you get into because you want to rebel against something. It is a serious religion that takes dedication.

To be called a Satanist, a follower of Satan, you need to know who He is and what He stands for. If you don’t, why bother? Research and study BEFORE placing even just one foot on the path. Many people start to follow a deity because of what they have heard or seen, but they truly don’t know anything concrete about them. They make their decision based on the word of another person who might not know much either. Don’t do this. If you are truly interested in Satanism, make the effort to learn about it.

Satanism is intense. It is life changing. It reaches to the bottom of who you are, your soul. It is not about yelling ‘Hail Satan’ all the time, but it requires study and practice. What was the last book you read on Satanism? And have you been to Satan’s altar today to spend time with Him? You can never come away from that place without learning something new.

Satan is a real spiritual entity. He has done so much for us and deserves so much more than what we give Him. If you believe this is where you belong, begin to walk and don’t stop.

And never… ever… look back.

Satanist not Allowed to have The Satanic Bible in Prison

Posted on November 14, 2016 at 2:20 AM Comments comments (0)

A former inmate of New Mexico, USA, is filing a lawsuit against a senior chaplain and the prison officials because she was not allowed to practice her religion while she was in prison.

Her religion—Satanism.

According to the report, Monica Lujan, who says she has been a Satanist since she was 13 years old, was not allowed to have The Satanic Bible for the three years that she was incarcerated, even though she had asked for it several times.

The prison officials told her that Satanism was prohibited. Her lawsuit states that when officers were looking through her bunk, they found photocopies of The Satanic Bible, a prayer book, and a pentagram that she had drawn. In turn, they took most of her things away from her.

According to the article, Alex Sanchez, the Deputy Secretary of Administrative Support for the New Mexico Department of Corrections, said that inmates are allowed to practice Satanism as long as their religious items and rituals aren’t a threat to security.

And what items might that be, Mr. Sanchez?

If he was implying that a Satanist uses a dagger in rituals, yes, but are other religions that use ritual daggers considered dangerous to the prison system too? What about Pagans? They use an athame. What about the Sikhs? They must carry a religious knife- a kirpan, on their person at all times. And didn’t Jesus tell his disciples to carry a sword? He certainly did. Items that would be considered dangerous wouldn’t be allowed in a prison, so I don’t see how that could even be an issue.

People like to make it seem as if Satanism is dangerous, yet they have obviously not studied Satanism nor read The Satanic Bible. It’s absurd that they don’t want Satanic literature in prison, yet the Holy Bible is given out to inmates. Christian chaplains conduct Bible studies—yet, it demands the killing of certain people such as disobedient children, homosexuals, witches, and followers of other religions to name a few. It also believes in animal and human sacrifice, as well as other horrible things such as the law in Deuteronomy that forces a woman to marry her rapist.

The ACLU is helping this woman with her lawsuit and rightly so. If the Christians, Muslims, Jews, and every other religious person can practice their religion in prison, the Satanist should be able to as well.

This is an issue that should concern all Satanists. It doesn’t matter if you are theistic or atheistic. Why? Because it could happen to any one of us if we ended up in prison or any kind of institution for whatever reason. It doesn’t matter what the crime is or whether the person is guilty or innocent. Imagine what it would be like to be confined to a prison cell for years and not be able to have your sacred texts.

We can read about these stories and do nothing, or we can make sure that what is happening to other Satanists is given exposure. Once we know about issues like this, we need to speak out against them. So many others are eager to speak out against discrimination in regards to their race, religion, and sexual orientation. Yet the Satanists, for the most part, remain silent about standing up for their own religion.

What if it was you in that cell?

Fallen Angel Oracle Cards

Posted on October 25, 2016 at 6:05 PM Comments comments (5)

I recently wrote about some of my experiences with the Tarot of which I am extremely fond. In addition to the Tarot, I also use the Fallen Angel Oracle Cards created by Nigel Suckling. I am not prone to liking oracle cards but when I saw these in a local bookstore, of course, I had to check them out.

There are seventy-two cards in the deck, each one representing a Demon from the Goetia. Aside from divination, they can also help you to make a connection with the Demons who might use them to let you know they want to communicate with you.

One of the ways they will do this is by influencing the cards that come up during a reading. For example, each morning I shuffle the cards as part of my daily devotions and I ask which Demon might want to talk with me. The same card has come up day after day. Coincidence? Some might say it is, but considering the number of cards in the deck and the frequency that the same one comes up, it is hard to deny that there isn’t an outside influence.

If you happen to get a certain card repeatedly, you might want to use another deck to communicate with that particular Demon. You might also want to consider using another method of communication such as a pendulum, meditation or pathworking. Now if you don’t know much about the Demon, I suggest you do some research first before you start further communication. This is so you know who you are dealing with, and if you choose to prepare the space in which you will call the Demon, it is beneficial to know which kind of incense, candle colour, and offering to use.

The artwork might not appeal to everyone and would not be considered ‘demonic.’ Instead, they have a more gothic look to them with a collage of different images consisting primarily of tombstones, mausoleums, trees, and animals. If you want to ask a generalized question, there are words on the cards that you can take as an answer or as advice for the day.

Here is an image for the card representing Bael:

If you decide on using the cards, I would be interested in hearing about your experiences with them.

The Importance of Prayer

Posted on September 22, 2016 at 7:40 AM Comments comments (8)

It is surprising how many people DON'T pray to the deity they worship. I read a study that was done to determine how often Christian clergy pray, and the results were quite low. It should be a given that if a person dedicates their life to serving a god, that they would want to spend part of each day in prayer and meditation.

Now when people do pray, it is often during times of hardship. They want their god to give them money, cure their illness, or fix their relationship. I have known Christians who actually believed their god answered their prayer for expensive furnishings. When one woman was looking for a new home, she prayed that she would come across one that had a particular kind of stove. Well, lo and behold she found one and praised Jesus for it. All the while children are starving to death in third-world countries. Makes sense, right?

I believe that as Satanists it is important for us to pray. It should not be about asking Satan and the Demons for help with mundane issues, although if it is absolutely necessary and done sporadically, it might be acceptable. Instead, prayer should be about establishing and strengthening a connection with Satan and learning from Him. It should be something that we do at least once a day. This is especially important for those who are priests/priestesses of Satan, and those who have devoted their life to serve Him in a greater capacity. It is impossible to share true knowledge if you aren't connected to the source.

If you haven't already committed to praying every day, I hope that these words will encourage you to start. It doesn't have to be elaborate, especially at first, and you don't need special items to do it. It can be done at any time and anywhere. Make your prayers personal, but always be respectful.

Some First Experiences with the Tarot

Posted on September 4, 2016 at 8:10 AM Comments comments (3)

I started learning how to read Tarot cards when I was about seventeen years old. Like many beginners, I began with the Rider-Waite deck, which is a good choice because many decks are influenced by it. First published in 1909, it was one of the first Tarot decks to include all 78 cards. The inspiration for this deck was the Sola-Busca Tarot created in 1491 and printed by Wolfgang Mayer.

One of the ways I learned was by reading for myself. Some readers argue that it is not a good idea to do this as it is hard to be objective, but it helps in gaining experience with using the different spreads and learning the meanings of the cards. Over the years, I also took a couple of online classes which helped a lot in my work with the Tarot. It is a great way to learn different perspectives and the in-depth meaning of the cards, numbers, and suits. I was taught the importance of paying attention to every detail and how each card fits together in a reading. The first Tarot class I was a part of was taught by Lillee Allee, the wife of the late John Allee, the founder and High Priest of the First Church of Satan (FCoS). She taught us to not just be Tarot readers but to be Tarot Counsellors.

The way I read for others is different than how I read for myself unless the person I am reading for is also a Satanist. This is because I use the Tarot as a way to communicate with Satan and the Demons. Before my reading each day, I ask Satan to guide the reading or I will ask Him a question and then I will shuffle the cards. If I am reading for a non-Satanist, I won't do this as I believe it is disrespectful to Satan, and it also may not be the wish of the person I am reading for.

The kind of deck I use is very important to me. I will not, under any circumstances, use angel cards or anything associated with Christianity. I also won't use decks considered New Age, white light, or those seen as 'trendy.' My preferences are the older decks, those dark in nature, and any that have Satanic aspects in one form or another.

Some of the decks I like are as follows:

The Luciferian Tarot by Michael Ford and illustrated by Nico Claux

Morgan-Greer Tarot by Lloyd Morgan and William F. Greer

Thoth Tarot Deck by Aleister Crowley and illustrated by Frieda Harris

The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck by Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith

Nicoletta Ceccoli Tarot by Nicoletta Ceccoli and Lo Scarabeo

Deviant Moon Tarot Cards by Patrick Valenza

Each of these decks speaks to me in a different way, and I choose which one I use according to the type of reading I am doing. If I am reading for someone else, I usually go with the Morgan-Greer or Thoth deck unless the person specifically requests a particular deck.

Since the Tarot has so many aspects to it, I will write more another time.

Online Drama

Posted on August 15, 2016 at 1:45 AM Comments comments (1)

Over the years, I have seen a lot of drama online. It happens a lot on social media, internet groups, chat servers, and on email lists. It usually starts between two people and will escalate from there. Then members of the particular group will choose a person to side with, and then it will become an all-out war. Ultimatums are given, and people are told that if they don't delete the 'enemy' from their friend's list, they will be banned from the group. This leaves people with no choice but to choose between the friends they have made and the group they like.

Often the enmity goes much further than this, and people have gone as far as to jeopardize another person's safety. Posting a person's address or phone number for all the world to see is not acceptable, nor is making fake websites and social media profiles to make fun of another person. I couldn't count how many times I have seen that someone has searched a person's background, and then posted online the details of their life such as their employment history, criminal record, financial problems, disabilities, family issues, etc. Then there are those who gossip and make up stories about others and do whatever they can to turn everyone against them. This hurts the Satanic community and it is sad seeing this happen over and over again.

So, what can we do as Satanists to change things?

- If you have an issue with someone, go to them directly and state your case. Message them privately, instead of posting your issue on their Facebook wall or blog for others to see.

- Wait a few hours or even a day before messaging someone you are upset with. You don't want to say something while you are fuming with anger that you might regret later.

- If someone is harassing you or threatening you in some way, you might have to get someone else involved, but don't make it a spectacle on social media.

- Don't spread gossip.

- Realize that social media groups are just—social media groups.

- Try not to let what people say get to you. Focus on what YOU are doing and move forward.

- Don't let anyone bait you into getting involved in their fights.

- If you are a group leader, get arguments under control before they escalate.

- Don't share anyone's personal information.

- Don't lie about others.

- Don't believe everything you hear.

These are some basic suggestions, but when it comes down to it, use common sense. We are Satanists, and we don't have to act like idiots or children on a playground. Considering that there are many people out there who would love to cause us harm, we need to stand together as much as possible.

It is not easy to see people fighting in the groups you are in. You are there to share and learn with others, not listen to drama. Step back for awhile if you need to, but no matter what you do, focus on Satan and on your studies. Don't let the actions of others deter you from your path.

Satanic Blessings,

Marie RavenSoul
