Satan's Call

You hear people talk about how they feel 'called' to do something. This is often in reference to a career or a particular kind of lifestyle. For some, being married and having a family is something they have wanted since childhood, while others choose the single life. Some feel a powerful need to dedicate their life to being an athlete or artist. If the call is strong enough, they won't be happy until they answer it and live out what they know they were born to do.

Yet there is a call much more powerful than any of the above—Satan's call.

Do you remember that special moment when you first heard him calling you? Think about it for a moment. Did he whisper in your ear? Caress your mind in a dream? Or was it through a sign he gave as you walked in a quiet place?

When Satan first makes himself known, it can stir up a variety of emotions. Since his energy is very intense, you might feel fear at first, but then it will turn into awe. Even though this was his first known communication with you, he most likely has always been a part of your life.

Satan chooses to reveal himself to some people at a very young age. If you were a child, Satan might have let you know he was with you by showing you a sign in a subtle way so as not to scare you. He knew the best way to do it and in a way that you would remember. He might have remained silent for the next few years until you were ready to accept his invitation to follow him.

It is believed by many, including myself, that if a child experiences signs of Satan's presence, it could mean that they worshipped him in a previous life. Herbert Arthur Sloane, the founder and High Priest of Our Lady of Endor Coven, saw Satan when he was only three years old. He was one of the fortunate few to experience Satan's magick before the corruption of age.

In other cases, Satan may wait until a person is a teenager or an older adult. The important thing is that you heard him and answered. He knew the exact time when you were ready to hear his voice and begin learning about him.

No matter when Satan chooses to call you, it will be the most profound event in your life. He saw something special in you, and of all the people in the world... he chose YOU!

Now take some time to reflect on your relationship with Satan. Read a favourite passage in a text you consider sacred or play a song that reminds you of him. If you have never kept a spiritual/magical journal, now might be a good time to start. Write down your thoughts and put them in a safe place.
